Wildlife Wonders Weekend

This all-inclusive package is based on per-person basis includes reserved camping on-site at the National Bighorn Sheep Center in the town of Dubois, on-site home-cooked meals, and complimentary eclipse safety viewing glasses. The exceptional four-day weekend of events includes:

  • Guided educational hikes: focused on local ecology (flora, fauna, habitat, etc.), geology, human and cultural history (petroglyphs, tie hack historic sites, POW camp, Sheepeater Indian trapping sites/other cultural sites, and unique valley wildlife (Whiskey Mountain Bighorn Sheep herd)
  • Evening programs/speakers: regional cultural history presentations and astronomer-guided star-viewing parties
  • On-site educational events daily: demonstrations of the ancient art of flint-knapping, hands-on fly-fishing and fly tying workshops, canoeing, mountain biking, how to maximize wildlife photography/viewing workshops, and many other outdoor activities in this pristine wildlife setting.
